Creditors and an ex-business partner are set to chase debts owed by Geoffrey Edelsten by challenging his will in the wake of his death last week.<br>The death of Edelsten, who’d been declared bankrupt in Australia and the US, revealed a messy financial and personal situation, with multiple parties expected to make a claim on his estate. <br>One of those people is his former US business partner Rafael ‘Alfie’ Mawardi, who Edelsten met at Mawardi’s House of Nurielle fashion boutique in when his then wife Brynne bought an $8500 lace jumpsuit in the store.<br>She later wore it to an Australian Grand Prix Ball at Crown.<br>’We went into the shop at the same time as Heidi Klum, who was filming Germany’s top model,’ Edelsten recalled in 2014.<br>’Brynne got in first and Heidi got very upset because she wanted that same thing, but we bought it.'<br> The $8500 jumpsuit that led to Geoffrey Edelsten investing more than $20million in the US. Mawardi said he never received a cent from Edelsten<br>The meeting with Mawardi led to Edelsten investing more than $20million into House of Nureille, two apartment complexes in the US, a jet and a casino in the Dominican Republic. <br>But Mawa on Thursday, the 32-year-old self-described ‘widow’ of the late millionaire businessman claimed he’d lost the will to live.<br>Gabi – who admitted on Instagram that she hadn’t been in contact with Geoffrey for a year-and-a-half prior to his death – said he had multiple issues he was dealing with.<br>’I feel almost bad, I think if he was in better spirits he would have lived, but he had so much debt, and his mum passed away, and I had left, I think he just gave up,’ she claimed. <br>Gabi said she was still coming to terms with Geoffrey’s death and was grieving the loss of her former husband. <br>’I haven’t found love after him. And it’s sad I can never speak to him, even if I wanted,’ she continued.<br>’I’m definitely trying to grieve in a healthy way despite mean people saying I don’t care.
